HGW Analysis

Paul Newlove was the bridge between rugby league's winter-era grit and the Super League glamour of the late 1990s. His grade reflects a dominant statistical career (339 career tries, first centre ever to hit 50 tries in a season), elite durability (208 starts / 0 subs at St Helens), and a world-record transfer fee that defined his era.
